Learn Art from the heart with HeART Studio
Singapore – (Sept 19, 2012) HeART Studio is pleased to announce their art curriculum for children and pre-teens ages 3-12. Officially opened her doors in Jul 2012, HeART Studio teaches children the various art styles, techniques and provides hands-on experience with a wide range of art mediums.
Early engagement with Art has shown to have a positive influence on children to stimulate their creativity and encourage critical thinking. Art classes are a great way for children to view life from different perspectives, nurture their imagination and increase their self-confidence for Art.
HeART Studio class programmes include age appropriate activities uniquely designed to engage and inspire young artists to cultivate their creativity and learn technical art skills. “The best tools and architectural design cannot help the carpenter to build magnificent buildings, as he needs the required technical skills to build his creations. The fundamentals of Art are similar. Children have to be given the right exposure, on top of the guidance and instruction needed to scaffold their foundation and develop their skills to create their marvelous artworks.” – Rena Chew, Founder of HeART Studio.
Classes are taught by Laselle and NAFA trained instructors which provide aspiring little artists plenty of exposure to a variety of visual art techniques; which include drawing, painting, collage, clay modeling, sculpture, print making, pottery, mixed media, etc.
Class sizes are maintained within a comfortable size of 6 ,so as to ensure that each child will be given one-to-one coaching and guidance from their instructors. Some of their class options include; Little Dali for children 3-4 years old, Little Picasso for 5-6 years old and Young Van Gogh from 7-12 years old. Additionally, HeART Studio offers an adult canvas painting class to impart the finer points of canvas painting to adults enthusiastic about learning art.
HeART Studio’s classes are held daily from Wednesdays to Fridays from 10am to 7.30pm, Saturdays from 9.30am to 6pm and Sundays from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Students can enroll for a term of 10 lessons at SGD$400 with a one time registration fee of $50. Classes are taught in their spacious studio at 1 Charlton Lane .
