As detail-oriented creatures, most women are perfectionists and naturally very critical or ourselves and others. And when it comes to motherhood, it seems that our claws come out extra sharp, as we nitpick and find faults in the motherhood styles of others.
Why do we do this?
Maybe because we are so afraid to fail, and so desperate to receive affirmation that we are doing it (mothering) the right way. Maybe because we are insecure. Maybe because we don’t really know what we are doing.
Or maybe it is all of the above?
Nonetheless, we believe that motherhood looks different on everybody, and whether you are a working mom or a stay at home mom, a breastfeeding mom or a formula feeding mom, a stroller pushing mom or a baby carrying mom, we can become the best moms we can be if we support one another.
It takes a village to raise a child right?
Why not, instead of building walls, try to see this old saying in a new light, by making a commitment to support other moms, even if their parenting styles are different from yours.
There’s a lot to learn (and laugh) from this video, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!
